Melt My Heart

Joanne, Elaine, Fay and Molly!

Life has been crazy for the last 7 weeks, so I would like to start off with an apology for not been in touch earlier.

Now that I have Sloane on a fairly regular schedule, I feel I can get back to a few things in life, like emailing all of you at CSP and thanking you for making our dream come true. All of you were amazing to work with. You made a somewhat delicate situation run so smoothly, we cannot express our deepest gratitude to all of you. I cannot imagine the difficulties one could run into if you would attempt to find a surrogate through the internet or through a less experienced team. Thank you again for all your hard work in making this run so flawlessly.

Now on to our gorgeous daughter Sloane Olivia Meade, who was born on Feb 24th weighing 8 pounds! She is just a dream baby. She is so lovely and sweet, it is hard for me not to want to gobble her up. Right now I have her sleeping from 11 pm to 7 am and taking great naps in the day. I am nervous to say this because everyone that I tell this to says that it will change, so for now I will enjoy it while it lasts. She really is such an easy baby. She is happy and delightful when she is awake, and is very content sleeping and even keeping herself amused with her new found cooing in her room alone. (I know this because I watch her on the monitor all the time, I call it "watching Sloane TV", which I am doing right now.) I can also see my time is limited....the little delightful monster is starting to move around. I swear she has a clock in her tummy as she is almost on the dot with her feeding times...and watch out if I am late! Holy moly that child can scream!

Sometimes when I watch her I feel badly because she is wide awake looking around in a big room all by herself, however I think it is also good for her to be happy when she is alone as well. She is just amazing. She started smiling last week (at six weeks), which is killer to watch. I love getting her all smiley. The mornings are the best, all she does is give me that huge gummy grin, it is enough to melt my heart.

I will be in touch now that I have a bit of a life again. Thanks again to all of you. You have all helped in your own way to make our life and family complete, we can never thank you enough.

Warm regards and a hug massive hug,

Antonia and Ronnie

........and 6 months later!!!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to send along some photos to you that my girlfriend took. I know it’s been a while since I said "Hi", but life is BUSY! I don't know what the heck I did with my time before having a baby. I get way more things done now in a day, but every moment is filled.

Sloane is amazing. We are having a blast with her. She is such a happy baby; always laughing and cooing. She has filled our lives with constant joy.

Every morning when I go get her for her morning bottle, it is like Christmas morning when I was a kid....I am so excited to see her, my skin crawls with excitement. It is the best - reaching in to her crib to see her gummy smile and her eyes gleaming with joy.....I always say "Yummy Yummy Baby", as I pick her up. She laughs and now grabs my nose!

Anyway, life is wonderful. Thank you all.

Big hug,

Antonia
